Death Insurance Benifits Increased to Rs.7 Lakhs Amid Second Wave || EPFO Update ||

If anyone who has passed away due to COVID-19 and was in active employment, their family and legal heirs may be eligible to receive a MINIMUM OF RS.2.5 LAKHS and MAXIMUM UPTO RS. 7 LAKHS (From earlier limit of Rs. 6 Lakhs , updated on Sep 2020) under the Employees Deposit Linked Insurance (EDLI) Scheme.


The legal heirs may have to file a FORM 5-IF with the EPF Commissioner, countersigned by the employer.
